Start your stargazing adventure with the East Lincolnshire Astronomy Club and some “sidewalk astronomy”.

Safely observe our star, the Sun, with specialised solar telescopes in the afternoon. Look for Sun spots in white light or view prominences and the magnetic influence on the Sun’s chromosphere in hydrogen alpha wavelength.
In the evening explore the surface of the Moon using club member’s telescopes. Then see two jewels of our solar system, the largest planets Saturn and Jupiter.

Members of the East Lincolnshire Club will be on hand to offer advice in starting out as an amateur astronomer.

Programme subject to weather conditions.
