DFDS is delighted to be headline sponsor of the Look Up: Kite Festival on Cleethorpes seafront this September.
This is a unique and exciting event which appeals to families and people of all ages.
DFDS employs around 1000 local people in Grimsby and Immingham and as such we are ourselves part of local life.
Communications Officer for DFDS Seaways PLC, Coreen Penheiro-Wharton said:
"Through sponsorship of community-based projects such as this we can support the local community and give an insight into the work of DFDS on the Humber whilst having great fun."
"As well as being able to enjoy some spectacular kiting, there will be lots of other exciting activities on the day."
"One aspect that makes the Festival of the Sky on Cleethorpes seafront so appealing is be able to see a specially-made DFDS kite in the design of a ship flying high above Cleethorpes beach whilst seeing full-sized DFDS liner ships making their way along the Humber as they connect Immingham with Norway, Sweden, Denmark, Germany, The Netherlands and Belgium."
"We're already flying high at the thought of such a great event," added Coreen.
Festival of the Sky is proudly supported by Arts Council England and Coastal Communities Fund.
