A short trip out of town will find the six-sailed Waltham Windmill, that occasionally grinds best quality grain to produce flour. The present six-storied tower windmill, built in 1878-80 by John Saunderson of Louth, offers a snapshot into what rural Lincolnshire life looked like in times gone by. A visit to Waltham Windmill is a great day out for families, with its range of unique craft units, delicious eateries, its own Museum of Rural Life and even a miniature railway on offer.
